The next album by ultra Doom titans' THE RIVER will be on MISKATONIC, after saturday's superb performace in London where they were simply devastating in terms of heaviness and delivery, it will be an absolute monster..........cheers to them all. Their second full length will be recorded at ROSENQUARZ Studio in Lubeck, Germany under the command of Michael Hahn and Andreas Libera....
Release wise, HPL 011 the DESOLATION ANGELS 4 CD boxset, and REH 003 the 10" EP by THE LAMP OF THOTH will be going to press on June 28th - Both releases will be issued in Die hard versions, details in the next 14 days as all the details are finalised.

Awesome news! I think THE RIVER really deserve a label like Miskatonic who gives them the best in terms of production and package quality. "Drawing down the sun" was incredible. I wonder what they'll sound like with a mighty Rosenquarz-production.
Looking forward to the DA-Boxset and the Lamp-10", too. I better start saving some money now.
Maybe it's too early to tell, but do you have plans for a vinyl edition of THE RIVER's coming album?

I don`t think that THE RIVER need a better production than now. I prefer the sound of the demo CD`s because the raw production sounds better for their style of music

Nothing definate is planned regarding this, I will just see how things go, the most important thing is to get them into the studio and get the new album recorded...

Thanks for the info. I take it, then, that some of the other vile brew that the band cooked up for the demo will make it onto vinyl/cd at a later stage.

Indeed it will, and a bunch more raging songs besides!!!

THE LAMP OF THOTH will play their first show in Germany on September 8th supporting CANDLEMASS, WARNING and POWERWOLF.
