Anyone know a good singer and guitarist that wants to be in a terrible Fates Warning tribute band?

but serioulsy...yes, it's offical now....

Concerning Lynn, I?m sure everyone out there knew something was going on when we had Norman Skinner of the Bay Area based band, Imagika, filling in for our CD release party. It seems kind of obvious that something is up when the singer that recorded the album that is being celebrated, is not taking part in an important event like that. And then when our band is enlisted to back Ronny Munroe of Metal Church as his band for his solo gig too boot? Yeah? something is certainly amiss

Sadly, it had come to a point where Lynn's time and dedication to Katagory V was no longer a priority for him, and we could see it in his attitude for some time now. This was probably one of the harder decisions we've had to make as a band, but ironically, this situation has been a long time coming. In the end, we really cared about Lynn as a friend and about him being in the band, but we knew it was time to make a change.

With Marc, it was almost the same scenario concerning his dedication, only he has decided to leave on his own accord. It finally came down to him having to make some hard choices, and due to minor musical differences and many conflicting factors in his personal life, Marc has officially decided to part ways with Katagory V.

These decisions have come as a huge disappointment for us in Katagory V, and we are certain many of our fans will be disappointed as well. However, we will look ahead, carry on and continue moving on to the next chapter of the band! There were a lot of good times and memories with Lynn and Marc in the band, and there is no doubt that both of their contributions made them an integral part of Katagory V during their tenure. We wish both of them the best in their future endeavors.

Now with a vacant guitar and singer slot, we are now ready to move on, and are looking to find a new, more versatile and highly motivated vocalist and guitarist as soon as possible. well, at this point we seem to be getting quite a few promising people contacting us, but it could be a while before we really know who it will be... if it is going any of them at all.

We're optimisitc that who ever we find, will be an improvement overall. B)

We actually considered that option! ...but we knew that if we did that, we would never get away from the Fates Warning comparisions. It is lucky for Mr. Arch that we do not have his contact info, or he would be getting a call from us... I'm sure he gets that all the time from many bands though.

I know some people are sad Lynn is gone, in fact, we've had a small handful of fans sending us mean emails demanding us to get him back or they will burn our albums, shit on the next one and send it back to us, and things like that! :rolleyes: seriosuly though ...if anyone has any hopes of seeing him in Katagory V or any other metal band in the future, don't count it. He has made it clear that he is out of the music business completley - he has "retired".

I recently did an interview with Idioglossia.de as well as Metal-Rules.com and even though those interviews won't be online for a few weeks, I pretty much explained in detail why he was kicked out in those interviews, so anyone interested in the truth of what really happend with him will have to check those out if/when they pop online.

I really shouldn't say this, but what the hell... We've got it narrowed down to three guys right now. One of them is pretty much "in" already - we are just waiting to hear him on some of the material we sent to him to track his vocals on before we fly him out to the studio. Although he is fairly unknown, anyone here that is a big fan of underground U.S. metal of the last 10 years will know who he is. B)
I really hope he works out, he is killer and in my personal opinon, this guy is 10X better than Lynn!

Personally... I am more concerned with filling in Marc's slot... there are TONS of guitarists auditioning, but most of them are terrible and don't come close to being able to play what he could.

Man, I love your debut! "Evil Princess" is one of my alltime favourite songs. But the following stuff, it didn't reach the class of the debut in my opinion. Let's wait for the new stuff :rolleyes:
