While I was visiting San Francisco on my honeymoon, we went out to see Imagika play live in Gilroy, California (aboutan hour east of the Bay) I am very good freinds with their drummer, and this was the frist time for me seeing them live since we met many years ago, so this was an added bonus! B)

I'm not sure how many of you know this band, in fact some of you might have seen them on tour with Iron Savior & Grave Digger 4 or 5 years ago and they have been around for awhile and have a few albums out. But While I was out there visiting, I happen to get copy (CDR) of their upcoming album Devil on Both Sides from the band, direct from the mastered copy... and it is absolutely KILLER!!!! I am very excited to see this album released in teh next few months; many of you who are fans of U.S. metal and thrash will really, really like this one!

They now have a new vocalist, Norman Skinner, who sounds like a cross between Matt Barlow and Russ Anderson, and also have aquired a 2nd guitarst. They are brilliant live... and I have the recent live show recorded on video and am in the works of editing it up for them to use as they wish.

Look for the new album in early 2005!

Anyone have any thoughts on this great band? :)

That's damned good news. When they put out their first record, I played it for days on end, it was just this particularly cool brand of old school thrash with power metal influences that had been away for years. I'm eagerly awaiting the new disc, as both the singer and the second axeman will no doubt be an enchrichment to the Imagika-sound. A singer who's a bit more versatile is just what they needed in my humble opinion. Plus we could do with a new Forbidden, since Forbidden are no more ;)

Got two of their albums ("And So It Burns" and the one with the Klingon writing on the cover, what the hell was that called? gotta look that up later...), great traditional thrash metal! Good to hear they're still alive...:)

Did Imagika sign with a new label or is it a self-financed release? When/where is it due out? Whoa, Kernon production credits - then it must sound like a METAL album!
