The single coolest moment of KITXII was Dave Hill performance of DON'T BREAK THE CIRCLE! The entire fucking place was chanting the chorus long AFTER the song was already done - And I for one can't get that moment out of my head!!!! Unreal and it's moment's like that I will take to my grave with me and say "Man, it was a GOOD life here on Earth!" DBTC was the crowning and defining moment in a festival filled with performances that were resplendant and shining like jewels.

California metallers LIZZY BORDEN have issued the following update:

"It was a great honor to be a part of this year's Keep It True festival in Germany. We headlined the first night of the festival and set it off with a bang in one of the longest shows we have ever played. We performed songs from each LIZZY BORDEN record — from 'Give 'Em The Axe' all the way up through our latest, 'Appointment With Death'. And for the first time since '92, we went back to our classic LIZZY BORDEN format of two guitarists battling solos the entire why through the show. Dario Lorina and Chris Sanders opened the show with twin guitar harmonies and never looked back. Marten Andersson brought his eight-string bass and shattered some windows and loosened more then a few fillings. Joey Scott ended the show with a smokin' hot drum solo including a fire dance from our very own Stef. Even though the show was larger than life and fun as hell, the LIZZY BORDEN songs stole the show this night; this festival brings in people from all over Europe showing their support for metal music. Watching everyone singing song by song as we weaved our way through our catalog of music, from the past to the present and back again was a truly an amazing thing to witness. All in all, it was a great time for us and the Keep It True fans."

Guitarist Mike Scaccia of Texan thrashers RIGOR MORTIS underwent emergency neck surgery this morning (Monday, May 4) at 6:00 a.m. The band writes on its MySpace page, "[Mike] just sent a text message that said he just woke up and that they had to slit his throat open to perform the surgery. He said he won't be able to talk for a few days, but that the surgery looks like a success."

Regarding the operation, the band previously said, "Scaccia has been having problems with severe pains in his arms in recent years. It appeared it was always from medical conditions such as tendonitis from the many years of playing the intense and fast style of music that he plays. But a few days after his performance in Germany at the Keep It True [festival] last weekend, Scaccia noticed his left arm went totally numb. So he went in to see his chiropractor, who noticed something seriously wrong in Scaccia's neck. So he sent him for an immediate MRI. The results showed that Scaccia has a cervical herniated disc in his lower neck and they told him that he could easily become paralyzed without immediate surgery.
