Well, the setlist is always tricky especially when the artist/band is doing a 'solo" gig and has an entire back-catalog with their old band to consider. We only have an hour at KIT (volcanic eruptions not withstanding), so with 4 Anacrusis albums and a "new" album that is 2 1/2 hours in length there were plenty of tough decisions for me to make. Also, since we are not playing as "Anacrusis" (in spite of half of the Manic line-up playing) we do want to focus a bit more on my newer material this time, especially considering most of the audience is made up of repeat visitors to the festival and so many already saw Anacrusis play 80 minutes of old material just 6 years ago.
We will play a few Anacrusis favorites for sure, but also several tracks from the new album. I know most people like to be surprised so I won't spoil it by saying exactly which songs. I am already prepared to dodge rotten vegetables thrown by the Suffering Hour fans since I am afraid we will focus more on the later Anacrusis material this time.
Sorry about that, but the Anacrusis 2010 appearance was pretty heavy on earlier material since it was the original lineup. There is only space for a certain number of songs and this time I will bring some thing a bit different. The guys and I tried many different songs over the last few months and some just work better live than others, so we decided on works best for the overall show. There are many more I would have liked to include, but in the end it always comes down to compromise.
...I don't think "A Little Light" would go over so well at KIT, haha....but come to one of the club gigs and you just might get a nice surprise
