Sacred Metal-Board

The sophomore ROCKA ROLLAS album has been recorded and ready to be unleashed upon the masses as soon as we find a vocalist for it (which may be not so soon after all, ah). We do, however, have someone giving it a try at the moment, so it could work, fingers crossed.

The production is better and the songwriting is an entire level up from the debut album. If I have to make a comparison, "Metal Strikes Back" is what "Painkiller" is to "Defenders of the Crown." Although it is also more diverse and have slower epic songs as well as the usual speed-metal grenades. This would be an amazing power/speed metal offering, if only we can find a suitable singer to give it justice... possibly a personal top album of 2012 for me, along with the upcoming AIR RAID and BLAZON STONE.

We got a vocalist and the project is moving forward. As it is we got plenty of songs written and decided to split the release into an EP and an album.

The EP will come first, sort of advanced promo for the album. It will have 3 exclusive tracks (one is almost 10 minutes long Epic!) and maybe some extra bonus. It will be pressed on CD and sold at exclusive $5.00 price, and maybe a limited vinyl pressing too. So far it is titled tentatively "Conquer" and below is the artwork:

Sounds great. I really liked the first Rock Rollas album, but the sound on that one wasn't the best. This rough recording sounds promising, less clinical.
The singer fits well, aggressive but still melodic.
I'm certainly going to buy this.
And yes, please release the stuff on vinyl!

Is Cedrick from RR the same who does BLAZON STONE???
After hearing the EP, I thought "Wow, sounds like the BS stuff I've heard". Really great EP and I'm looking forward to the new record

Was ihr da wieder toll dran findet kann ich nicht nachvollzihen. Der erste Song geht ja noch als mittelgute RW Kopie durch, Conquer ist dann schon etwas schlechter und so richtig schlimm wird es bei Song Nummer 3 , bei dem Kinderliedchorus rollen sich meine Fußnägel hoch, das abschließende Instrumental ist zwar nicht schlecht, aber vollkommen überflüssig.

Das Urteil kann bei mir nur heissen: Conquer - AA
