A new exciting US power metal with progressive touches, influenced by Wheel of Time and Game of Thrones among other things.

Sounds nice and the artwork is great. It reminds me a bit of the cover of "The Last In Line" by DIO.
Btw, what's that Tales Of Medusa cover which you use as your avatar here lately?

Yeah, it is very cool album. I'm glad you like the artwork too, one of the better works by Dimitar for sure.

Never mind that TOM avatar, it was a joke for April 1st.

Shadowkiller are a real discovery. From what I've heard so far, Slaves of Egypt is one of those albums I can delve into for days on end. Edgy yet melodic US-power with a technical slant plus a versatile vocalist who has that certain je ne sais quoi. This particular brand of metal is bloody hard to come by these days.
Fingers crossed this release will not be drowned out by the 16 other Stormspell-discs out on September 17th. Regardless of that, a must-have for me. Thanks for giving these guys their well-deserved shot.

This thread needs, to quote Calvin (of Hobbes' fame), a swift kick in the butt.
'Why?', you ask.
Well, quite simply because Slaves of Egypt is one hell of a disc. I cannot help but wonder why so often disappointment about new bands is voiced at great length here whilst a band like Shadowkiller largely falls by the wayside.
These guys not only know a thing or two about songwriting, they are versatile players as well. Every track has substance, an exciting build-up and lots of detail, the excellent musicianship is evident throughout this album. The inventive guitar leads alone are a joy to any traditionalist's ears.
Did I mention the vocals yet? I didn't, so let me tell you that Joe Liszt has that rare type of whisky-infused voice with lots of expression. He brings across the melodies with feeling and panache, vintage George Call-style.
Nothing is cheesy or amateurish here - this is high-quality US-metal in the grand style of old.
Check out Slaves of Egypt if you haven't done so already. As far as traditional stuff by a new band goes you'd be hard pressed to find anything better.

Neue Musik kündigt sich in Form eines zweiten Albums am breiten VÖ-Horizont an.

Klingt ordentlich unaufgeregt wie schon das Debüt. Joe Liszts Stimme gefällt mir gut.

Pretty cool. Iordan, will it be a Stormspell release again?

Hah, I haven't seen that one. Funky artwork, looks like Game of Thrones illustration :)
