I'm thrilled to present to you one of my childhood heroes - the Belgian techno-thrash masters TARGET. A massive 2 CD Set including both albums Mission Executed form 1987 and Master Project Genesis 1988, plus the very rare 5-track Demo 1986.

All licensed from Zardoz Media UGh / Aaarrg Records and coming with a massive 16-page booklet with exclusive in-debt interview with Franky Van Aerde, all lyrics, and tons of archive pictures.

Remastered by Erik Adam H. Grösch (Annon Vin, Mekong Delta) at Newey Studios, July 2009.

So all ever released/forgotten Target-material comes up with this 2-CD?

Pretty much yes. what is listed on Metal Archives as "Demo 2" was actually an advanced label promo for Mission Executed and those 4 songs were included later on the album. So all in all they really had only one demo from 1986 which is included on the box set.

Definitely one for the To Buy-list. And despite poor sales of other Stormspell-reissues, an edition of a 1000 copies. Let's hope this one goes fast, sales-wise.

We will see. There has been some Greek or East European Master Project Genesis bootlegs on eBay recently (with proper matrix numbers no less) so I'm not sure how the market will respond to an official re-release... I couldn't afford to license more than 1000 copies anyway, coz it was way too expensive for my budget, also given that I'm very close to strike a deal for re-releasing two mega-monster 80s albums which will cost me quite a lot too.

I've yet to come across a label that releases so many excellent discs without compromising on the package quality. How the hell do you do it? And, of course, I'm curious about those two mega-monsters, too.

Indeed! Stormspell has by far the most quality releases of all metal labels at the moment. Starting with the cover artwork and going on to packaging and so on, this is always 110% top-notch quality. Keep up the good work Iordan!

What an amazing reissue the Target-double disc set has turned out to be. Two CDs crammed with everything you could ever possibly hope to own of these Belgian techno-thrashers. A wonderful 16-page booklet featuring an extensive interview, loads of pics plus lyrics. All of it lovingly compiled, laid out in the best possible way and printed by a company that clearly takes pride in their work. As is custom with Stormspell Records, the package comes with an obi and in a protective plastic sleeve. What more - apart from the original vinyl of course - could you possibly want?
Fellow underground labels take note: THIS is how it's done.

Incidentally: I dream of the Kingsbane/Seven Years demos being reissued like Target's legacy...

Its funny, but you are the second person who expressed that wish in the last few days. Perhaps once I finally manage to take care of all pending orders I shall seek those bands and see if they could be interested...
