WISHDOOM and CATCH 22 pre-orders
Verfasst: 3. März 2011, 00:00Our new releases will be out on March 11th, however on this date they'll be available only at the UP THE HAMMERS festival in Athens. We'll be back home on March 16th and starting from that day we'll be able to ship orders.
Earlier in January the Italian Post suddenly raised the prices in an outrageous way (in the most extreme cases shipping costs are much more than double now!), so we can't do the pre-order with free shipping for everybody, like we did in the case of HEATHENDOM "The Symbolist"... BUT we decided to offer this to the SACRED METAL board members.
So, if you want to be one of the first to receive one (or both) of these CDs and not pay for the shipping, simply send me a PM and I'll let give you the details about payment methods.
The free shipping however applies ONLY to the regular edition CDs (which cost 12 Euro).
Like with a lot of previous releases, we will also make the special tin-case editions with 2 photos (you can see the example for HEATHENDOM tin-case in the last news on our website). If you'd like to pre-order the CATCH 22 and/or WISHDOOM CDs, but would like to have also the tin-case edition and are going to the KEEP IT TRUE festival, you can get the cases + photos (paying the 3 Euro of difference 'cause tin-case editions are for 15 Euro) later, directly from our stand.
CATCH 22 "Monumetal" will be also available in bundle together with their previous album "Soulreaper: Evilution/Devilution" DCD (for 20 Euro).
The pre-order offer will be valid until MARCH 15th, but if you order the CD earlier (before March 8th), we'll be able to send it still before going to Greece.
Here are a few words about these albums:
WISHDOOM "Helepolis" will be the Greek band's full-length debut (after the 2008 demo "Up The Hammers" and 2009 EP "Winds Of War"). The band crafted mature, complex but consistent songs with crushing riffage, stomping rhythms and deep, manly vocals. Their battle hymns are mostly mid-paced, blending epic heavy metal and some doom metal overtones, with themes that evoke the glory of ancient battles and myths.
The release of WISHDOOM's debut album will coincide with the band's appearance at the 6th edition of Up The Hammers festival in Athens on March 11th, alongside While Heaven Wept, Sorcerer, Ostrogoth, Emerald (CH), Jaguar, Hurlement, Martyr, Dawn Of Winter and Skull Fist.

The 5th full-length album of the US act CATCH 22 will be titled "Monumetal". The band, led by the guitarist/vocalist T.J. Berry, has forged its own personal style of US power/thrash metal, not sounding quite like any other band, yet being heavily rooted in the '80s and '90s tradition. "Monumetal" is a very personal album with lots of passion emanating from the songs, but also with quite raw production, therefore it will be released through the RAW Metal division of Metal On Metal Records.
For fans of: Testament, Judas Priest, Wrathchild America, Iced Earth, old Metallica, Metal Church, Heathen, Jag Panzer, Savatage...
Two new songs of each of the bands, WISHDOOM "Helepolis" and "Guardians Of Steel" and CATCH 22 "...And The Fire Still Burns" and "Catch 22", can be listened to from our website and MySpace page. You can also listen to other samples from the bands' MySpace pages.
