Fifth Angel-Reunion 2009

Interessant zu sehen, dass die meisten hier das zweite FIFTH ANGEL Album als gleichwertig zum ersten sehen. Meiner Meinung nach ist das erste Album ein Gigant, ein echtes Meisterwerk des melodischen US Metals, während "Time will tell" ein gutes, aber nicht überragendes Hard Rock Album ist. Okay, "Cathedral" oder "We rule" kann ich mir gut geben, aber es sind auch einige Füller an Bord, was beim Debüt überhaupt nicht der Fall ist.

Ist das ´ne ernste Frage? Wenn ja, dann MUSS man die beiden Alben haben, zumindest als US-Metal-Fan.
Beide Alben bekommt man als Release relativ günstig bei Amazon und Konsorten...

Wenn er damit meint, dass zukünftig mehr Song in Richtung "The Night" gehen kann ich damit leben.

Uiuiui. Die Vergangenheit lehrte uns aber, dass solche Aussagen meistens ein böses Omen sind.

Mir macht das Angst dass das auch in Richtung Thrash-Welle geht wie bei Helstar. Bei denen taugen mir die neueren Sachen auch weniger, und wenngleich Riviera als Sänger immer noch exzellent ist kommt seine Stimme bei den etwas gemäßigteren älteren Stücken doch am Besten zur Geltung.

Das bezweifele ich doch etwas. Es kommt doch immer auf den Ausgangspunkt an. Würden FITH ANGEL nun auf Thrash machen, wäre der Schritt von ihrem Ur-Sound je viiieeel weiter, als der vom typischen HELSTAR-Sound hin zum Thrash. Ich deute das "heavier and more aggressive" z. B. eher mit knackigeren Riffs, die evtl. einen Ton tiefer liegen als damals. Aber mehr Tempo? Nee, glaube ich nicht.
