Where are the good Bootleggers when we need them the most
The song is fantastic and I can't wait to get the tape to listen to the others.
If anyone has a downloadlink for the older demos or is able to make a 320 kpps version of his personal tape(s), that would be awesome.
Btw, the band answered to my mail yesterday, after 3 months of waiting :cool2:

So this is the mysterious and famous Tales Of Medusa...

Sounds nice, but doesn't let me freak out. I guess they wouldn't get half the attention without their silly "release strategy".

The beginning of "Bade the Myrmidons" is the best thing I've heard in the last couple of years. Incredibly epic. It only took two seconds to give me goosebumps.

The other three songs are great as well. It seems the band has found it's style: galloping riffs interchanging with doomy parts with distorted picked guitars. I agree with Oli, best TOM demo so far.

The start of "Storms over Hellespont" reminded me of "Hell's Bells", btw...

Indeed, but their material is really great. Other newcomer bands would love to have this kind of material released officially

I think the songs are somewhere between average and good. But I love the "production". It sounds really great and vivid.

I think it's highly above average. Sounds really great. I want to have all songs included on the upcoming full length - although my chances to get a copy are close to zero.

At least, some blogs offer their album as download

As far as I know you're a collector and music fan, too. It's not even close to the feeling if you can hold a LP in your hands. Fuck that mp3 bullshit, we can start a petition or something to get those "oldschool-forced" Canadians into the direction of a public release in a satisfiying quantity.

Edit: And if they care that much about the analog aspect of music, there are some vinyl only labels which might be very interested in releasing their stuff.

But with these kind of releases and even old demos, you simply can't do anything but download them, 'cause, as you said, the chance of getting a copy is nearly impossible. I can only speak for myself, I, as a collector and fan, hate downloads in general, as you said. But if there's absolutely no other chance of hearing it, except via download from a blog, I definetely want to have/hear it.
Well, at least I now get an original from the newest demo :tong2:

The problem is, the band itself shows no interest in such things!

But that's kinda snotty. Well, if there's no chance it is not upon us to take care of a release. If the band doesn't want the recognition they truely deserve it's up to them.

I think the band is full aware of their "position", but they simply don't want to change anything. Don't ask me why!!! Other bands would beg for this kind of attention and passion

Man, this band is brillant.
A shame that they don't wanna be huge in the Underground - it would take six month to have them in all the important magazines in Europe...
For all the words unspoken, for all the deeds undone,
for all our shattered dreams, for all the songs unsung,
for all the lines unwritten and all our broken hearts,
for all our wounds still bleeding and all our kingdoms come.
