Ich finde die irgendwie ein bisschen überbewertet. 2, 3 Lieder von denen sind ja ganz nett (vielleicht auch ein bisschen mehr), aber sonst finde ich Détente eher uninteressant....

Überbewertet ist vielleicht eher unpassend, ich glaube so wirklich viele Leute, die das Album abfeiern, gibt es nicht. Ich höre die auch nicht sonderlich oft, aber wenn, packt sie mich doch immer heftig. Ob ich sie jetzt als Pflichtalbum sehen würde sei dahin gestellt...

Geht mir absolut genau so. Superbes Teil.

Hab vor der Nominierung durchaus überlegt, ob ich das Album reinstellen sollte, zumal ich mir anfangs nicht ganz sicher war, ob sie hier allgemein noch als "Underground" gesehen wird, denke aber, daß dies schon der Fall ist, auch in Anbetracht gewisser anderer Plätze. Das Album steht auch stellvertretend für 80er Metal mit Frauengesang, und darüberhinaus ist Détente eben eine recht spezielle Band mit hohem Wiedererkennungswert, und die "Recognize No Authority" ist einfach ein intensives Album, welches vielen Hörern durchaus nahe geht, wie man nicht nur im entsprechenden eigenen Thread hier am Board, sondern eben auch an obigen Kommentaren erneut erkennen kann.

Außerdem sind noch kaum Speed und Thrash Metal Alben in der Liste. Deshalb auch gleich noch die Savage Grace.

Warfare, die Fire Down Under nach mir genannt hat, hätte ich auch noch im Hinterkopf gehabt, quasi die Venom dieses Threads hier. Hätte allerdings die "Metal Anarchy" gelistet.
