Was soll denn VAN HALEN mit "100-Pflicht-Metal-Alben" zu tun haben?

Also zum einen sind sind die Jungs für reinen Hard Rock eindeutig zu heavy, zum anderen hat wohl ausser Uli Roth und Richard Blackmore kaum jemand größeren Einfluss auf alle Shred-/Frickel-/Technikversessene Gitarristen und Bands gehabt als der Eddie, da kann auch Onkel Yngwie nichts retten. Da finde ich schon, dass man als Metaller zumindest rudimentär mit der Band vertraut sein sollte.

Eddie hatte auf Van Halen I den allerbesten Gitarrensound überhaupt.

Wie wärs mit den Night Songs von Cinderella?

In meiner Top 100 sicher, hier wohl weniger.

Dafür poste ich das GNR Meisterwerk, das muß für mich einfach rein. Falls das gekickt wird, plädiere ich für eines der beiden ersten Carcass Alben als Referenzwerk für den Extrem-Metal. Das nicht ganz so derbe Genre Death Metal hat bisher auch nur zwei Alben bekommen, da fänd ich zumindest eines für den extremen Bereich dahinter angebracht. Persönlich mag ich das Carcass Debüt lieber, aber als Metaller sollte man auf jeden Fall mal in das etwas leichter verdauliche zweite Album "Symphonies Of Sickness" reingehört haben, unter Umständen gibt es dann ja eine ganze Welt voller Krach zu entdecken!

Und daß von Metallica "Ride.." und "Master.." statt dem Debüt in dieser Liste stehn, müßte auch noch berichtigt werden.

Da mit Black Sabbath und Deep Purple aber 2/3 der heiligen Dreifaltigkeit des Hard Rock drin sind und der Thread-Ersteller ausdrücklich Hard Rock zulässt, fehlten einfach erst Led Zeppelin.
