Bob hat ATTACKER nicht verlassen, wie das offizielle Statement der Band ganz eindeutig aussagt, haben ATTACKER Bob gefeuert, weil sie wegen persönlicher und finanzieller Unstimmigkeiten nicht mehr mit ihm zusammen arbeiten wollten.

Ich fand die Severed Hand Scheibe eines der Highlights der letzten Jahre, mal gespannt wie die Stimme am Ende zu Attacker passt.

ATTACKER ANNOUNCE BOBBY "LEATHERLUNGS" LUCAS AS NEW VOCALIST!
Attacker has been joined by Bobby "Leatherlungs" Lucas (Seven Witches, Overlorde, Morbid
Sin) as their new vocalist. Lucas is still currently in Overlorde, who are working towards a
release of their own.

According to drummer Mike Sabatini, the band will focus on new material for their as of yet
untitled next album that they expect to release by years end. Adding "We are extremely
excited to have Bobby in the ranks bringing his talent to the table, we couldn't have asked for
a better addition to the band, GAME ON!".
" We've had a long but well needed break and are
looking forward to playing shows again." We do what we do for the love of it and for the fans
that do appreciate it and for no other reason than that. This stuff is in our blood!"
Bobby Lucas commented.
"I am very happy and excited to be a part of the amazing ATTACKER!
This is a band I have been a fan of since first hearing them on Metal Massacre 5 back in '86! I was
hoping the right gig would eventually come along...I have been out of the original scene far too long,
and here we are! It all seemed to fall into place. This band is right up my alley, classic TRUE POWER
METAL! Hailz to all the ATTACKER fans. See you soon!"

Attacker has also been confirmed for the METAL ASSAULT III FESTIVAL at
Posthalle in Wurzburg, Germany. The festival will take place at the end of January
2013, the exact date is to be announced soon.

Wurzburg just happens to be Bobby's place of birth, so this will be a very special show for him!

Attacker will also hit the airwaves and internet with 2 upcoming interviews.

Oh, das ist eine nette Überraschung!
Und ein MA 3 im Nebensatz mit angekündigt, ich bin begeistert. Den Auftritt auf dem KIT fand ich damals sehr geil und der neue Sänger ist auch ne tolle Wahl, ich freu mich auf nächsten Januar.

Oh, war nicht so ernst gemeint, habe nur den Zusammenhang zwischen US Band sucht sich einen anderen Sänger und Sänger nimmt sich deutsche Begleitmusiker und tritt unter altem Bandnamen auf nicht ganz verstanden. Wäre da jetzt nur noch ein Originalmitglied am Start und ginge es nur um einen Auftritt, wär das was anderes, aber hier geht's ja um neue Musik und Bandaktivitäten. Da muss man dann auch mal fair sein. Und Roxxcalibur Seitenhiebe kann man ja in genügend anderen Threads immer noch machen.

Tja, wär ich mal meinem eigenen Rat gefolgt und hätte gelesen, was ich geschrieben habe, wär mir dieser lustige Verschreiber, den du wohl auch nicht bemerkt hast, nicht passiert.

Naja, kein Witz wird besser wenn man ich dauernd wiederholt...

Mike Sabatini, the band's drummer and founder, sent in this comment:
"I just wanted to say on behalf of the band and myself, that we are thrilled to be working with Metal On Metal Records! Jowita and Simone do a fantastic first class job with their releases (no cheap packaging!) and are truly passionate about what they do. That in itself is very important to us, we didn't want to just sign with anyone. We have had a great working relationship with Jowita for several years now with her doing the cover art for our last 2 releases, "The Unknown" and "Standing the Test of Time", both awesome artworks. From myself I can add that the first time I met the band was at my first Keep It True festival visit in 2004. Taking photos was just the start - then I worked for them on the cover arts and saw them live four more times. I had been kept updated on the vocalists search situation and I was really happy to hear they eventually ended up getting the great Bobby "Leather Lungs" Lucas - he is definitely a more than worthy successor to Bob Mitchell! It's a great honor for us to be working with this legendary band of which we've been big fans for many, many years, but there's also the friendship factor that makes things just perfect.

The band's 5th album "Giants of Canaan" will be released on February 2nd, which coincides with ATTACKER's appearance at the Metal Assault III festival, followed by the headlining show at the Screaming for Metal festival in Madrid, Spain the next night. The band has more shows in the plans, including Childhood Heroes festival in March in New York (with HELSTAR, HERETIC, VIKING and WRATH), Warriors of Metal VI festival in June in Ohio (with MELIAH RAGE, FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, STEEL ASSASSIN, TWISTED TOWER DIRE and many others), as well as a 2-week tour in Europe in September including Ages of Metal festival in Belgium (with DIAMOND HEAD, TYGERS OF PAN TANG and others t.b.a.).
