Just checking in to explain the European tour cancellation, as the agents who I expected to give a reason in their press release apparently failed to do so. A.K. applied some time ago, long before the tour was being put together, for acceptance into a helicoptor flight training academy in Arizona.

He wants to be a helicoptor fire fighter which is an amazing career goal at this point in his life. Ambition does not begin to describe the scope of this undertaking. There is an extreme amount of study, determination, commitment, concentration and BALLS that are required to make it through the education.

The thing was,nobody really thought he would be approved for the very large loan for the enrollment. Fortunately for him he was, although somewhat after the dates in Europe were being finalized.

The band very much regrets having to postpone this tour. The Bang Your Head festival 3 months ago was a GREAT time for this band and we really were ready to take Europe by storm on this November tour.

The band will definitely attempt to reschedual as soon as school for A.K.winds down. The band sincerely apologises to EVERY single person who was involved with
attempting tomake this happen,and of course most of all to all of our fans that were disappointed with the latest news. The band has nothing but love for ALL OF YOU!! Flots Til Death!! :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

Außerdem wäre das ein fauler Kompromiß...

wir haben leider schlechte Nachrichten. FLOTSAM & JETSAM haben ihre komplette Europatour inkl. dem KIT Auftritt abgesagt. Hier das Statement von Drummer Craig Nielsen:

Wir sind von dieser Entscheidung sehr enttäuscht und sind der Meinung, dass die Band sehr unprofessionell gehandelt hat und mit dieser Entscheidung viele ihrer alten Fans verprellt hat. Wenn die Chance besteht, dass man eine Tour nicht spielen kann, unterschreibt man keine Verträge. Das KEEP IT TRUE wird in Zukunft auf jeden Fall nicht mehr auf die Band zurückgreifen.

Im Moment bemühen wir uns gerade um gleichwertigen Ersatz und hoffen diesen sobald wie möglich bekannt geben zu können.

We are extremely disappointed by this decision and think, that the band acted very unprofessional and it is a real slap in the face especially for their old fans. If there is a chance, that a band cannot do a tour, they should not sign contracts. We as KEEP IT TRUE will not ask the band again to come over and play at the festival.

At this moment we try to get a worthy replacement for the band and hope to announce them as soon as possible.

Ich drück euch die Daumen, dass ihr einen coolen Ersatz findet. Fragt doch mal bei Tyr an... die sind grad eh fleißig am Touren. Ihr macht das schon...!

Sehr schade... aber wenn er doch so gerne Feuerwehrmann werden will muss man halt Verständnis haben :rolleyes:

Ich weiß nicht, wieso plötzlich alle diese Plastikwikinger gut finden. Die passen auf's Rock Hard-Open Air oder auf's Summer Breeze, aber nicht auf ein Underground-Festival, das "true" in seinem Titel stehen hat.

Lass lieber einfach Ross nochmal kommen, jetzt wäre wieder Platz. Wenn sie das immer noch ausschlagen, sind sie nicht ganz dicht.

Das geht ja wohl überhaupt nicht als Ersatz für F&J!

TYR kann man wohl absolut nicht mit Finntroll, Ensiferum und Co. vergleichen... aber der Gerechtigkeit wegen sollte man in erster Linie schon nach einer Thrash-Band Ausschau halten.

Jau, und auch unplastischer und undergroundiger als ca. 95% der "True"-Metal-Bands dazu. Whatever, die spielen an dem Tag eh mit Amon Amarth in Lichtenfels also wird das sicher nix. Freut euch... Plastikwikinger... tztztz...

Wie kann man die denn nur so schlecht finden? Die "Eric The Red" habe ich seit zwei Jahren fast jeden Woche einmal laufen...z.B. "The Edge" - wenn das mal kein knallender, mitreißender und epischer Metal ist, dann weiß ich auch nicht.
Aber da ich sowieso nicht auf dem nächsten KIT bin, brauchen sie auch nicht zu kommen. Lieber irgendwelcher Thrash Metal, dann verpass ich nicht viel.
