Ed La Volpe quits Exxplorer

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have officially quit Exxplorer. There are many reasons why. I did have a health issue a couple of months ago, but now I am fine. I know they like to throw this around as the main reason I left, but believe me I wanted to leave right after HOA. Many people can confirm this to be the truth. I stayed because I truly believed that if we got Kevin back in, that he and I could write many classic songs together (I still do believe that) I just have no stomach for the rest of it though. Anyways I am not going to get into too much of it, but let’s just say that some things will NEVER change.

I also feel it is important to go out at the top of a career. Having played at both HOA and KIT last year, in addition to beibg selected for the Rock Hard Book of the top 500 Metal Albums of all time, and having been profiled and interviewed in many magazines over the last 2 years, it isn’t going to get any better than that. It inevitably will go downhill and IMO already has…..

I wanted to thank you all for your support and it was so awesome coming there to play and meet all of you. I am planning on going to KIT as a fan next year so I will see you there.

Music wise I am not really sure of what I want to do next. In the coming months I will convert this site into more of an Exxplorer History Site based on the classic SOS lineup of Exxplorer .
