Haha, der Thread hier ist größtmögliches Tennis. Gerade wo man gedacht hat, das Forum hängt ein bißchen durch.

Ich mein, das Dilemma ist, dass es ein unmögliches Unterfangen ist, die 100 wichtigsten Metalalben zusammenzustellen. Dann passiert sowas wie bei den Rock Hard Top 100, dass sich da dann Dimu Borgir und co. drin tummelt . Man kann höchstens versuchen, eine repräsentative Auswahl von 100 der wichtigsten Metalalben zu machen. Das ist allein schon schwer genug. Ich finde aber auch, dass das eigentlich ganz gut klappt bisher. Obwohl der SM-Michel bestimmt noch versuchen wird, mit vorgehaltener Knarre dann doch noch den Fates Warning-Backkatalog reinzuschmuggeln.

Übrigens würde ich Mötley Crües "Shout At The Devil" gegen "Dr. Feelgood" austauschen. Erstere ist zwar auch mein persönlicher Favorit, wenn die Crüe aber ein Pflichtalbum gemacht hat, dann wär' es doch die "Dr. Feelgood".

Also ich kann bei den Streichungen vor allem die drei gar nicht nachvollziehen, das waren alles Bands, die unglaublich wichtig waren, und einen erheblichen Beitrag geleistet haben, vom Einfluss auf alle nachkommenden Bands ganz zu schweigen:

Naja, der Einfluss von der "Die Healing" war natürlich nicht mehr so groß, drum hab ich stattdessen die "Born Too Late" eingetragen. Und die hat auch drinzubleiben.
"Hammerheart" ist natürlich absolut essentiell. (Fehlt allerdings bei mir trotzdem noch in der Sammlung... )

Übrigens würde ich Mötley Crües "Shout At The Devil" gegen "Dr. Feelgood" austauschen. Erstere ist zwar auch mein persönlicher Favorit, wenn die Crüe aber ein Pflichtalbum gemacht hat, dann wär' es doch die "Dr. Feelgood".

Doch, das paßt schon so. Die "Dr. Feelgood" war zwar der weitaus größere kommerzielle Erfolg der Band, bedeutender im Sinne von einflußreich war allerdings das zweite Album der Crüe. Zu Zeiten der "Feelgood" war die Szene schon riesig und es gab unzählige weitere Bands - Topacts wie durchschnittliche Nachahmer und auch jede Menge grottige Mitläufer. Die "Shout at the Devil" hingegen war '83 eines der ganz wichtigen Alben und ein Startschuß für die aufkommende Szene, ein großer Einfluß für die allermeisten dieser nachkommenden Bands, dazu ein kräftiger Arschtritt in Richtung der alten 70er Garde. Insofern würde ich die "Shout" als das einflußreichere Album bezeichnen, und das war glaub ich das Kriterium für diese Liste. Hab da aber etwas den Überblick verloren.

Und noch zur "Feelgood" - das war zwar ein sehr großer kommerzieller Erfolg und mit Sicherheit eines der wichtigsten und erfolgreichsten Alben der Sleaze-Szene, allerdings wird das Album sowohl vom kommerziellen Erfolg, als auch in Punkto musikhistorische Bedeutung von der davor erschienenen "Appetite for Destruction" übertroffen, dieses Album thront unübertroffen über der gesamten Sleaze-Szene, auch wenn die "Feelgood" auf Platz 2 folgt (in meinen Augen). Hab ich übrigens damals als Crüe Fanboy nicht zugegeben, obwohl's mir innerlich schon klar war..
