Hab am Wochenende die "UNLEASHED"-CD über einen (top bewerteten) amazon-marketplace-Anbieter gekauft und jetzt die Mitteilung erhalten, dass die CD defekt ist und (natürlich) keine weitere Exemplare verfügbar seien.

Sowas hatte ich auch schon. Was soll die Scheiße?

Die einzigen Ausnahmen die ich bisher gemacht habe waren Watchtower - The Size .... und die Iron Maiden Single.

Freut mich, dass die Scheibe beim deutschen Metal Publikum so gut ankommt...war eine nicht ganz leichte Geburt mit den verkorksten Aufnahmen arbeiten zu müssen....umso problemloser ist dafür die Arbeit mir James, der kurz rüberflog um innerhalb von ca 10-12Stunden (!!) ALLE Vocals und Rhythmusgitarren neu aufzunehmen, sowie noch ein-zwei Soli...beeindruckende LEistung, quasi alles im Frist Take...
Es gibt also null studio Tricks und ihr könnt davon ausgehen, dass die Band das Material live genauso rüberbringt wie auf Scheibe.
ST kommen bald wieder rüber, diesmal für eine komplette Aufnahme bei mir im Studio, ich habe schon ein paar der neuen Sachen gehört und kann schonmal verraten, dass das Material sehr stark ist!
Wäre natürlich tatsächlich cool, wenn sie ihren Aufenthalt hier direkt mit ein paar Gigs verbinden könnten, sollte ja möglich sein.

Würdiger Abschlussgig wäre eigentlich ein KIT-Auftritt gewesen:


After 15+ years of struggling to keep a stable line up together & the costs involved in keeping the band going ive decided the next Steel Tormentor album will be the last....I want the band to go out on a high & with the right people in place now is the time to do it.

We have one gig left which will be at the Siege of Limerick (Limerick Ireland) on the 24th of April. Make sure if you are at the gig you check out our set we promise it will be a good one.

Theres not much else to say apart from thank you to those who have shown their support through the years.I only wish you could have got to see the band out on tour but sadly it was not meant to be.Perhaps another time another place it would have all worked.

Expect more details on the new album to be posted soon until then keep it metal ...JK

..New album update 04/05/2011..

..We will begin preproduction work on the new album over the next few weeks...10 tracks have made the short list a total of 45+ minutes of new material. So far it sounds like a mix of old school traditional metal with a hint of Epic / doom metal...

..A studio date has not been set yet but Lasse Lammert at LSD studios will be taking care of all production duties.We are only to happy to be working with Lasse again who understands exactly how the band wants to sound....Heavy , Raw & True with no studio gimmicks!!!!..

..We have not approached any labels about the release & once again plan to finance the album ourselves & release it through our Nephin Records label....However if there are any labels interested in licensing the album we will consider serious offers...
