Heute früh aufgestanden, emails gecheckt und dann diese Mail von RAZOR:

Hello Oliver,

I must e-mail you to explain that it looks like I will not be able to appear at the Keep It True Festival in April of 2008.

I received unexpected news regarding my current University program.

I am completing my degree in Economics and was told that due to the competitive nature of the program I am in, if I do not register for the Winter 2008 term (January through April 2008), I will be disqualified from the Economics program. I have several years invested in this program and cannot allow myself to be put into this situaion.

This makes it impossible for me to appear at the KIT festival in April of 2008. I am sorry for the late notice, but I did not anticipate a problem like this. I was sure that my university would let me take a few months off. But I was wrong.

So in this regard, I will not be able to make this appearance. If you plan any shows that are in the summer months (May through August), it would be possible.

Once again, my apologies. I am sure you have plenty of time to secure another act. I wish you success.

Das war ja wieder so was von klar. Da hab ich schon die ganze Zeit drauf gewartet. Da könnte ich super abkotzen. Warum sagen immer die Bands ab, die ich sehen will. Als Ersatz für RAZOR will ich schon eine Band machen, die noch nicht hier gespielt hat, zudem sollte es Thrash/Speed sein...

Für Razor gibt es kein Ersatz.

SACRIFICE - JAWOHL! Sind ja auch Kanadier, Rob ist ein bodenständiger Kerl, der weiß, wo der Hammer hängt (bislang zumindest) und die Band kickt live mächtig (zumindest haben das alle bisher bestätigt). Perfekter Thrash ist's auch, daher mehr als ein "Ersatz", für mich wär's einer DER Kit-Höhepunkte bislang. Danke.

Testament sind übrigens schon länger so drauf. Lustig war's auf einem Festival in Innsbruck. Die Band war Headliner. Sie baten aber die lieben Leave's Eyes nach ihnen aufzutreten, da die Band dann gleich nach Holland düsen könne. Die lieben Gothicler hatten nix dagegen als Letzte aufzutregen. Gesagt, getan. Testament hatten dann einen ewigen Soundcheck und spielten dann das volle Programm. Folge war, dass Leaves Eyes auf Grund der Sperrstunde gar nicht mehr auftreten konnten. Testament hatten es aber nach dem Gig nicht mehr eilig nach Holland zu kommen und tranken noch gemütlichst ein paar Bier.

Ach Du Scheiße... die Absage ist für Oli in der Liste der "worst cases" sicher ganz oben mit dabei...

Auch wenn ein gleichwertiger Ersatz für RAZOR nicht wirklich möglich ist, könnte ich mir folgendes vorstellen:

- POSSESSED
- NIFELHEIM
- EXUMER
- POISON (Ger)
- SLAUGHTER (Can)

MORTAL SIN  mit Mayhemic Destruction Special (schwierig oder?)

MORTAL SIN haben gerade'ne neue Scheibe fertig gemacht UND planen endlich einen Re-Release von "Mayhemic Destruction". Bräuchten aber nicht nur Songs vom Debüt spielen, auch "Face Of Despair" hat starke Songs. Wäre voll geil, wenn diese Band beim KIT spielen würden.

Übrigens hatte ich von MORTAL SIN meinen allerersten Rückenaufnäher auf meiner Jeansweste (heute Kutte genannt).

Wäre meiner Meinung nach mehr als ein Razor-Ersatz.
