Ist da was dran, kann da mal einer recherchieren! Nochmal so ne EP wie A Twist Of Fate wäre ja zu schön und wahr zu sein

1/19/11 - ARCH / MATHEOS Currently Tracking in the Studio
Jim Matheos and John Arch are currently working together on a new full-length album that will be released in late spring/early summer via Metal Blade Records. The band, called ARCH / MATHEOS, began tracking the drums on January 12 and will continue to record through mid February with both John Arch and Jim Matheos producing the album.
ARCH / MATHEOS features an all-star lineup including the talents of Joey Vera on bass (Armored Saint, Anthrax, Fates Warning, Seven Witches), Bobby Jarzombek on drums (Halford, Fates Warning, Sebastian Bach, Riot), and Frank Aresti on additional lead guitar (Fates Warning).

Sgt.
From an official news-bulletin from Jim Matheos' Myspace:
"Jim Matheos: The announcement of me John working together on a new full-length album has spread all over the internet like wildfire. We feel honored and humbled that so many people out there are still interested in our music. But it has come to our attention that there are already a lot of rumours circulating about the style of album. The fact that also Joey and Frank are involved in the song-writing process has obviously given rise to the speculation that the album will be a straight continuation of our style on the first three FW-albums. To avoid any misunderstandings, let me state one thing clearly: if you're expecting a second 'Awaken the Guardian' you will be disappointed for sure. You know, we as persons and musicians have evolved over the past 20 or so years. ARCH / MATHEOS will reflect all these changes in our personal lives and careers. I can't tell you much yet, but the songs are sounding much heavier than anything we've ever done before. We are listening to a lot of PANTERA and MACHINE HEAD while composing. These guys have become a huge influence for us as a band! We are also working with down-tuned guitars. There's a lot of anger and frustration in these songs. John never sounded that aggressive - a lot of people will be surprised!"
"It wouldn't be realistic to expect an album in the vein of early Fates Warning. My voice has changed so much in the past few years, I simply couldn't reproduce all these high-pitched melodies anymore. Also we want to address a younger generation with a fresh and more modern approach. But don't worry, the new songs are absolutely mind-blowing, some of the most br00tal shit we've ever done. Bobby Jarzombek was the perfect kick in the ass for the band. You should hear him blasting away on 'Ivory Apparitions', the opener of the album. Stay fucking tuned, bitches!", comments vocalist John Arch.
