Flotsam&Jetsam 20 year package reissue

Wie es aussieht, steht ein reissue von Doomsday an. Folgendes schrieb Kelly D. Smith auf dem Flotsam Board.

Well my friends this year it will be the 20th year since Doomsday for the Deceiver came out. In talking with Metal Blade we will be putting a special re issue package together that will have the original first 2 demos with Newsted and we will be remixing D-Day. Also there will be some vintage footage from the local club "Bootleggers" for you local fans.
Gloria the former Sacred Reich and Seputura manager as well as the current Soul Fly manager used to own the club way back then. She had a batttle of the bands and the winning band broke up. She awarded us the prize which was studio time.

We recorded Metal Shock out first demo which got us our first record deal with Metal Blade in 1986. Thanks again Gloria.... We had hoped to record 3 songs with Newsted that he was a part of writing but not able to record on a official record but his commitment elsewhere took presidence. We are shooting for the same time frame for release which would be in July of 2006. As soon as I have a confirmation you will know as well. Flotz till deth!!!

Doch, hast du ja bereits, immerhin seh ich nächsten Samstag Riot auffem KIT, und bei denen ist's echt wurschd was sie spielen.

Bin vermutlich eh der einzige der die vier oben genannten Flotsam Alben als "must have" sieht, und den Rest für absolut verzichtbar hält.

Was is' denn jetzt eigentlich mit dem Rerelease?

Laut Kelly wird es vermutlich bis Herbst dieses Jahres dauern. Hängt von Metal Blade ab.

"Well I spoke with Metal Blade and we"flotz" wanted the it released at the same day as the original but they said it isn't possible. So It's looking like Sept, Oct. Hey just in time for Xmas.. "

Update v. Kelly Smith:

I just finished the 20 year DVD with live footage from 1983, 1984, 1985 from the the very first interview at my high school to one show just a few months before Jason hit the road.
There is unreleased material on the DVD live from Bootleggers in Phoenix.
Gloria Cavelera used to own the bar before Max came around.

Sacred Reich and us used to play there all the time. I also put a picture disc together with a bunch of vintage photos and some not so vintage re union photos from a couple of years back with Newsted.

The re release is going to have the first 2 demos on it re mastered along with Doomsday remixed and digitized.
I hope this enough to keep you all interested. If you don't like it then shut up I worked my ass off on this and don't care to hear your cryin'.

Jason seems to be out of the picture completely so don't expect any touring or participation from him ever.

Glad too see Mike getting to go to Germany. Keep it real guys and stay safe.
