Vocalist Rick Mythiasin has rejoined California metallers STEEL PROPHET. The band is set to begin recording the first songs with Rick in five years. Drummer Gene McEwen will begin laying down tracks for two new songs in about a week. More information will be made available soon.
STEEL PROPHET's last singer, Bruce Hall (AGENT STEEL), joined the band following the departure of Nadir D'Priest, who sang on the group's "Beware" CD (2004, Massacre Records). D'Priest originally joined STEEL PROPHET as the replacement for Mythiasin, who also has a project called MYTHIASIN.
STEEL PROPHET had previously released five records through the Nuclear Blast label and three via Art of Music/Brainstorm.

Geil, am Wochenende habe ich noch "Book of the Dead" gehört und gedacht wie schön es doch wäre wenn von Steel Prophet nochmal etwas in dem Kaliber kommen würde....jetzt steigt die Hoffnung!!!

Aber war ein Grund für den Weggang von Rick damals nicht auch Streitigkeiten mit Kachinsky über seinen Gesangsstil? Hoffentlich geht die erneute Zusammenarbeit gut. Bruce Hall wäre ein super Ersatz gewesen. Aber wie Oli schon sagt, der soll bei den Agenten bleiben und hoffentlich mit denen bald auf Tour gehen (am besten mit Steel Prophet... 
).

Yeah, das sind mal gute Nachrichten! Komisch, ich wollte gerade einen Steel Prophet-Thread starten um mal zu fragen ob denn jemand weiss was der Kachinsky im Moment treibt.
Es wundert doch ein wenig, dass Rick und Steve wieder gemeinsame Sache machen. Entweder ist Kachinsky zur Einsicht gekommen, dass er auf den Holzweg war oder Mythiasyn kann sich mittlerweile mehr den Förderungen des Gitarristen anpassen.
Hoffentlich kommt da nichts Ăśberraschendes-Innovatives-Modernes raus, denn von Steel Prophet will man nur eins: Steel old school Prophet!

Sagt mal, welche Steel Prophet ist denn DAS Album. Ich besitze die Book Of The Dead, die finde ich gut, wĂĽrde deswegen aber nicht in JubelstĂĽrme ausbrechen...
