- Seasons Of The Wolf haben auf ihrem neuen Album ein paar sehr geile Songs, aber auch einige Gurken mit sehr nervigen Keyboardsounds
- Kamelot ? Ghost Opera: Viel zu künstlicher Gitarrensound und etwas zahnlose Songs. Das Album ist OK, aber nach The Black Halo und Karma war mehr zu erwarten
- Adramelch am BYH verpasst
- Beide KITs verpasst

Ich bin zum Beispiel schon überrascht, dass unsere Forenband so deutlich auf Platz 1 ist Liegt wahrscheinlich auch daran, dass es eines der wenigen Alben ist, die jeder dieses Jahr gekauft hat.

Ganz genau. Am Öftesten auf Platz 1 (genau 4x) ist ja die Warning, aber Doom hört eben nur ´ne kleinere Gruppe in diesem Forum und in der Undergroundszene allgemein. Denke die Band hätte vielleicht noch besser im Poll abgeschnitten, wenn Leute wie wytchfinder666, Bizarre Reverend usw. mitgemacht hätten, aber egal...

Wirklich große Überraschungen gibt es für mich diesmal nicht. Vielleicht die hohe Plazierung von Candlemass... klar, ist ein ganz gutes Album, aber an 2. Stelle hätte ich die Scheibe nicht unbedingt erwartet. Am Anfang war ich begeistert, aber genau dieses Album hat sich bei mir leider recht schnell abgenutzt im Vergleich zu anderen Werken, die im Laufe der Zeit gewachsen sind.

Eben das ist auffallend. Das manche Band so weit unten gelandet ist, liegt wohl nicht an die Qualität eines Albums, sondern eher daran dass sich nur ein oder zwei Leute das Ding gekauft haben.

Ich wage mal dies zu behaupten: wäre das neue Aska-Album ohne Verspätung etwas früher im Jahr erschienen, würde es sich jetzt weit oben bei den Jahresbesten tummeln. Genau diese grundehrliche Mucke dürfte auf absolute Boardkonsenz treffen.

Überraschend finde ich die pole position für die beste Covergestaltung des Jahres. Ist zwar vom Dimitar wieder gut durchbacken das Ritter-und-Schwertdings, aber beileibe kein Fave im Prof'schen Hause. Wenn ich mir da die kleinen Meisterwerke von z.B. Anubis Gate oder Into Eternity anschaue... Naja, das Volk hat gesprochen, ist alles weiterhin Geschmackssache.
Zu den miesesten Coverbildern kann man übrigens Seasons of the Wolf und Aska (!) zählen, die gehen überhaupt nicht.

Huld geht an den Butcher für die Numero Uno in der Jahresliste. 'Scarred for life'!
