A Knight of the Order passed away
We are sad to announce, former Guitarist and founding member of ORDER OF NINE, Michael Chiccitt has passed away.
Michael passed suddenly yesterday afternoon. He and Order of Nine parted ways in 2006 on sad terms and as Metal Brothers to the end. He was instrumental to the success of ORDER OF NINE in all ways possible throughout his time in the band and even after. He was a serious musician praised for his True Metal writing and screaming guitar solos. He was fun to be around and was a great friend to all the members of the band even after his departure. His sense of humor was contagious, able to make light of the worst of all scenarios and never took anything too serious as to be a detriment to those around him. He was thoughtful, insightful and intelligent. He was a deep thinker and an excellent communicator.
No matter what has been written here or in the countless reviews of his playing and performances, said by friends and aquaintances, or told about by those who did not know him, Mike Chiccitt will be remembered and missed most of all.... because.... he was our friend.
Chiccitt hatte diesen filigranen US-Metalgitarrenstil drauf, der viel von der unheimlichen, traurigen Atmosphäre der ersten zwei Order of Nine-Alben ausmachte. Die neue Scheibe Means to know end wurde schon mit einem neuen Gitarristen eingespielt.
