AMULANCE Pulls Out Of Germany's HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR Festival - June 5, 2008
Cult metal band AMULANCE has issued the following update:
"In the face of adversity, AMULANCE has lost two members due to personal reasons and as a result are left with the regretfully difficult decision of canceling all shows. Efforts made to resolve and keep the band together were ineffective before coming to this grave conclusion. The fate of AMULANCE's future is yet to be determined by the remaining members.'
"It's an unfortunate yet inevitable part of life," says vocalist Rik Baez. "Situations arise (usually when you think that it couldn't get any worse) and no matter how hard you try, you can't please all of the people all of the time. Sometimes it just ends up being a lose-lose situation for everyone involved."
"I agree," says bassist Thom Braddish. "We can't be pissed because we aren't walking in their shoes. It would be a cop-out to say that any one of us would handle it better because talk is cheap. All we are left with is wishing the guys the best and deciding whether we should move forward with AMULANCE or not."
AMULANCE was previously scheduled to appear at this year's installment of the Headbangers Open Air festival, set to take place July 24-26, 2008 in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany.

Ich bin am überlegen, ob ich evtl. nicht doch komme. Hab halt null Bock auf drei Tage zelten, deshalb muss ich das jetzt ein bisschen abwägen, ob es sich lohnen würde.

Also die Metalmaus und ich werden wohl schon am Donnerstag gegen ca. 10 Uhr morgens auftauchen
...Aber zumindest bringt mich der Bandname auf eine Idee: ich werde jetzt auch einen Hammer nehmen und auf die Scheibe eindreschen, was nur geht. Oder ich schenke das Teil meinem Kumpel Benno, der irgendwie alles mag, was schlecht gespielt, mies arrangiert und noch mieser produziert ist. Hauptsache so unkommerziell wie möglich. Ich bin auch dabei. Und ehrlich gesagt freu ich mich auf die drei Tage zelten genauso wie auf die Bands.
Schade um Amulance übrigens. Hoffentlich kommt dafür ein cooler Ersatz, ich wär ja für Thor oder Ripper!!

FĂĽr Amulance wird es wohl keinen Ersatz geben, da sie eh schon zu viele Bands auf dem Billing haben.
